Ramadan Reminder Day 12- SubhanAllah for the Fruit & Vegetable we eat

Ramadan Reminder Day 12: #SubhanAllah for the delicious fruit and vegetable Allah swt has provided us. You may wonder why I am talking about such a “mundane” thing, but actually they are big part of our daily diet, in turn, a huge part in our good health. As I broke fast today, I munched away at a refreshingly cool cucumber. The heat we experience now during the long hours seemed to have dropped down as the cool cucumber slid down my throat. I then quenched my thirst with a bright and refreshing glass of watermelon juice. The burning sensation in my stomach that had built up due to dehydration disappeared as if it was hosed down by gallons of water.
SubhanAllah – each vegetable and each fruit has been packed with an abundance of vitamins and nutrients. Every colour represents the goodness within. If only we appreciated it and took pleasure in every bite we took. Allah swt has given us all the cures, gpodness and benefits in these fruits and vegetables. It is up to us to recognise this and make the most of them. We should say SubhanAllah for these favours bestowed upon on.
nts in various verses. The Holy Quran says: ‘‘And the earth He has put down (laid) for the creatures.  are fruits, date palms producing sheathed fruit-stalks (enclosing dates). And also corn, with (its) leaves and stalks for fodder and sweet-scented plants. Then which of the blessings of your lord will you both (jinn and men) deny?” [Holy Quran – 55:10-16]

Ramadan Reminder Day 7 – SubhanAllah for Allah’s Wisdom

Ramadan Reminder Day 7: SubhanAllah for Allah’s Wisdom. We are mere mortals, trying to make sense of this journey called Life. There are times we are desperate for something, and we want it NOW! We are humans living in a world where everything is on our fingertips. The technological era of 2016 has enabled us to find food, find homes and even find spouses from a button on our keyboard (or a tap on our smartphones). The urgency in which we want things to happen for us is astounding, and unfortunately this has led to a culture of impatience. So when we want something in our lives from Allah, be it a good job, a spouse, a child, a new home, a holiday some where, or whatever it maybe – we are completely impatient, this impatience which leads to a lack of Faith.

But Allah – in His ultimate Wisdom knows when to answer our Duas. This maybe in a direct form of actually giving us what we asked for, but usually it is giving us something even better! SubhanAllah! He closes one door, but  He will open another that has much more treasures within. Allah is All-Wise, All-Knowing. We must be in awe of this attribute of His -and have infinite faith in this. Then only will our Duas be answered…

#SubhanAllah – Praise Allah for His magnanimous Wisdom and Knowledge and thank Him for giving us the good and preventing the bad in this life. He is Al-Hakim.

As we welcome in this beautiful month of Mercy, we say Bismillah and start the month with pure and good intentions. To not accept this is an insult, as it is given to us with love and compassion from our most Merciful Creator. Each moment and each day of Ramadan is an opportunity for us to reap a bounty full of rewards. For the sins of the year, we must grab this one month wholeheartedly and utilise every moment to wipe away the stains of sinful dirt that we have accumulated. This most blessed of months, a chance to gain the rewards through fasting, night and voluntary prayers, charity, refraining from sinful and disliked behaviour and even just having good intentions. A chance to turn to our Lord for Mercy, for forgiveness and to beseech Him what heart desires.
